Banger. Mockery and ridicule are fun and infinitely scalable. Culture is upstream of all of these issues. Let’s continue to subvert the subversion, comrade.
I would like to apply for three credit hours at The University of Austin as I read your entire post.
The reality is that liberal arts schools are primarily where the mischief lies -- not engineering schools, not STEM. There is no mischief in calculus (which created more English majors than Shakespeare). The mischief is entrenched via tenure rather than performance.
When I matriculated at Virginia Military Institute to study civil engineering and obtain a Regular Army commission in the combat engineers in the 1960s (there was a war going on and there was a draft so we were all going), men were 60% of all college students and women were 40%. Today, those numbers are reversed. This figures into the equation.
The removal of Pres Gay does nothing in the greater scheme of things as she was the pick of the Harvard Corp and she will be replaced by a similar pick in the future as the "rot" is deep in HC.
The only blessing "reality" has is that the woke are not all that smart. Imagine if when asked whether genocide of the Jews and the destruction of the Jewish state violated Harvard's Code of Conduct, Pres Gay had said, "Of course it does. Next question."
Hoist by her own petard, she was.
This first fight does not take place in the universities and colleges; it takes place around the dinner tables of America wherein the culture and values are imprinted on our children and their parents use their influence to ensure they are educated both academically, but also values/culture.
That is why organizations like WAYA (West Austin Youth Association) are so critical to character development -- the fields of Eton and all that rot.
The world has always been 98% bullshitters and 2% doers and will continue to be forever. Wokeness is just the bullshitters getting more organized and the sheer volume of them.
A great nation knows why it is great. We have lost our understanding of why we are great because we stopped studying our history.
VMI was Geo Catlett Marshall's alma mater and I sat in the same classrooms and lived in the same barracks as the greatest soldier and statesman this country produced who brought peace to the world (OK, Geo NMI Washington hit a solid lick).
One of the best things about my time in the Army -- civil engineer, MBA finance, VMI, combat engineers best preparation for business ever -- was exposure to the draft. It was a very good thing for the country. I often could not tell which of my soldiers was a volunteer or a draftee.
Good luck with The University of Austin. I lived in Austin for 40 years arriving when it was 300K and leaving when it grew to 2MM. It is a great city.
Great piece @Joe. Our organization has donated to UATX, keep up the awesome work. As mentioned, winning the narrative war on the new media channels (bringing the message to the masses) is critical. I am writing some important pieces which i'll send along once finished.
I agree with much you have written here. I can’t help but wonder though, if attacking the woke university will just provide the external threat that will be used to solidify the solidarity within it. Nothing lubricates internal cooperation like an external threat.
I can’t help but think that this woke ideology is going to prove to be internally unstable. Eventually, some elite academics will seek status not by adapting to the culture, but by attacking and replacing it — like some kind of academic form of Kuhnian paradigm transition.
Longer term, it is the creation of competing universities which will enable consumers/students to vote with their feet and wallets. One thing that might help this transition is a focus on results and efficiency standards within any university getting any type of public aid or tax advantage. For example, qualifying universities must validate with entry and exit tests proving learning, AND the university must not have more than 10%? Of its costs in administration or whatever.
Hello Joe, we were introduced by Joe Quirk Seasteading at your house. I remember the GOT sculpture on your yard. Thanks for sharing your rules to counter woke and wokeness. Much to learn from Russia. And Rome for that matter. Greetings from Roatan.

Here is a closer look at the demoralization of Harvard Corporation board: https://yuribezmenov.substack.com/p/how-to-get-into-harvard-gay-bobo-corporation
