You wrote, as the first of your stipulations: Evil exists in the world. The United States sometimes has to fight against it.

I wish you had added another stating: Evil also exists within the halls of power in the US government. It is our duty to detect and expose it, and to NEVER do anything to empower it.

We must not assume that we are always on the side of justice and truth. As a US citizen who has lived much my life outside the US, I want to share a riddle I came across a few year ago.

Q: Why has there never been a coup in the US?

A: Because there is no US embassy in Washington, D.C.

I love the United States as a country, but I cannot say the same for the government as it is now. And it doesn't matter which party is currently in control. Both have proven themselves incapable or unwilling to control the evil actors. And sadly, I see most technological advances now being used more against our own citizens - surveillance, cancelling voices that oppose the official narrative, etc. - than to fight against evil and promote the wellbeing of mankind.

Great piece Joe. You’re an unsung hero. I wish our celebrities were entrepreneurs instead of movie stars and influencers.

Brilliant nuanced piece that honors Eisenhower. He is one of our most underrated presidents. Worth reading his full farewell address, which calls out the dangers of the STE (Scientific Technical Elite) in addition to the MIC: https://yuribezmenov.substack.com/p/how-to-deliver-a-farewell-address-eisenhower
