Listen now | JoeBen Bevirt has spent two decades building electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, and now he's on the cusp of commercial approval and rollout.
Amazing discussion... My good wishes for the first flight at UAE, its one of the best places to setup the first ride.. there many questions which pop up in my head as I do focus on drones and robotic startups.. I remember something was happening in India too between airport and central delhi, also Singapore.. eVTOLs are kind of uniquely positioned to solve the struck in the traffic problem, but I always imagine let say it's servicing airport goers, how would the luggage be managed, frankly I know a startup that does just 50-70kg payloads.. still eVTOL profitability depends heavily on the payload.. anyways that's nitpicking, so sorry, 😅, good wishes again..
Awesome podcast, Joe. Best yet. Curtis
You have to wonder how Air Traffic Control will work - I am sure NYC will find a way to issue citations ASAP.
Great update on this sector
Great discussion. I wish they had talked about the battery supply issues. Is Joby dependent on PRC rare earth minerals or magnets?
